Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to the post of Head of Year, to support a strong team of tutors committed to raising standards of pupil achievement across the year group. The role also includes a teaching commitment, to be discussed at interview.
Working with the Senior Leadership Team to drive up quality of learning experiences, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing full learning and pastoral support for pupils, to ensure that they are making appropriate academic progress.
You will need to be an inspirational teacher with a ‘can-do’ attitude and:
- An inclusive and challenging vision for your cohort – setting high expectations for all.
- A systematic approach to planning and development.
- A clear understanding of how to raise standards.
- The ability to design and deliver aspects of the school’s SMSC programme.
- The Leadership skills to support your Pastoral Assistant and team of Tutors.
The postholder will also be responsible for fulfilling the safeguarding requirements of the role and adhering to the school’s Safeguarding Policy.
