We are looking for an inspiring and committed Headteacher who will become a central part of our school community. The successful candidate will be a visible, approachable leader, building strong, trusting relationships with children, staff and families, and maintaining a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
They will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to nurture and develop staff, recognising their strengths and supporting them to thrive. We are seeking someone who genuinely values people, prioritises wellbeing, and fosters a positive, collaborative culture.
Our new Headteacher will embrace the unique strengths of a small infant school, celebrating its close-knit community and ensuring every child is known, supported, and encouraged to succeed. A natural rapport with children is essential, alongside a deep commitment to putting them at the heart of every decision.
We are looking for a leader with a clear sense of purpose and long-term commitment to this role and our school, who can build on our strong foundations while confidently driving further school improvement.
A successful candidate will:
- Be a visible, welcoming and inspirational leader
- Be someone who can build strong relationships across staff, children and the community
- Have qualified teacher status and minimum 5 years teaching experience
- Have experience and expertise in Early Years Foundation stage and/or KS1
- Have experience in a senior leadership role, shaping and driving strategic priorities
- Be able to drive strong student outcomes, by leading curriculum development
- Demonstrate absolute commitment to children safety; ideally with experience as DSL/deputy DSL
- Have a commitment to inclusion, so all groups of children’s needs are met and they have the environment to excel
