Salary                           £24,348 F.T.E /  £1731.94 Pro-Rata

 

The Governing Body of Charles Kingsley’s CE Primary School are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and proactive Health & Safety Officer to join our brilliant team.

The main duties will include: 

  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments across the school premises.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and school policies.
  • Develop and implement health and safety training for staff and ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
  • Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders regarding health and safety matters.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety awareness throughout the school community.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent administrative and organisational skills 
  • Have a flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and part of a team
  • Have a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practises
  • Good communication skills
