Job/Person Summary
Due to our former HLTA progressing to become a teacher, we now have space to recruit a new HLTA to our team. We are a small school with a big heart.
We have 6 classes, each in bright and spacious teaching and learning spaces. Our outdoor areas are equally inviting, providing an excellent environment for our students to explore, play, and learn. We are a connected community who all have one common goal, to ensure that all children at Hart Plain Infants are:
- Successful
- Happy and safe
- Respectful members of the community
To learn more about us please visit our school website www.hartplaininfants.co.uk
The ideal candidate will meet the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications. Have a proven track record of supporting children with SEND. Minimum of two years relevant experience.
In addition, we’d like our new HLTA to have well developed interpersonal skills and a sense of humour enabling effective relationships with a variety of people. You must agree that children thrive when they learn within a safe, calm and nurturing environment. You need to be a practitioner who is relentless to make a difference through delivering high quality and challenging lessons. You must be able to promote strong habits for behaviour for learning and create a classroom environment where learning is infectious and exciting.
You will be required to deliver lessons and work from teacher’s planning. You would be supporting a small SEND group for some of the week. Your role would be varied and rewarding.
In return we can offer you the chance to work within a small, supportive team. A school where work life balance is carefully considered, a well-planned, organised and resourced curriculum to help reduce the planning load and a golden ticket incentive.
