 Permanent, 37 hours per week, 
Term Time only plus one week (40 weeks)

We are seeking a highly motivated, personable and experienced HLTA to join our dedicated team with a specialism in Speech, Language and Communication needs.

 

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant specialising in Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), you will support pupils with a range of communication and interaction needs to develop the skills required to access learning and participate fully in school life. Working closely with the SENCO, teaching staff and external professionals, you will deliver targeted interventions, support the development of communication strategies and help remove barriers to learning.

 

This specialist HLTA role includes opportunities to work both within the Resourced Provision and alongside pupils in mainstream classes, delivering small group and individual interventions while also supporting wider curriculum access where communication needs impact learning.

 

This role would suit a candidate who is passionate about inclusive education and keen to further develop their expertise in supporting speech, language and communication development within a mainstream secondary setting. We are seeking a member of staff with experience in SLCN interventions who is able to work flexibly in a large learning support team to have a positive impact on a number of pupils.

 

GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English Language and mathematics is essential.
