Job Introduction
Henry Cort is an established school in Fareham and will be moving to a new state-of-the-art building in Whiteley, planned to open from September 2027.
We have a vacancy within the college for an enthusiastic and dedicated ICT Assistant who can demonstrate excellent knowledge and practice, with a commitment to sustaining our high standards. Ideally, you will have had previous experience of controlling all technical aspects of a school’s network to meet the needs of both administrative and curriculum requirements.
The successful candidate will support the Network Manager in:
- Maintaining IT hardware and software used in the college
- Software licence compliance
- Maintaining servers and associated hardware
- Network security and user access control
- Protecting the network against virus attack and ensuring GDPR compliance
- Gmail and MS365 Email control and user management
- Training staff on the use of software and hardware systems
Ideally the successful candidate skill set should include:
- Knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Servers 2008-2019 and the use of Hyper V
- Group policy management
- Backup systems
- Imaging building and distribution of client computers
