Actual Salary £20,104 - £20,433

FTE Salary £24,796 - £25,201 per annum. 

 

Solent Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, professional and highly motivated Junior Finance Assistant to join our Central Trust team.  

 

This is a new, exciting opportunity to become part of a growing, busy team. You will be based at The Acorns in Cosham but some cross-site working may be required across our other schools in the Trust. 

 

We see this post as a development role and it will be perfect for someone who would like to progress in the Finance and Accountancy profession. To support your development the Trust will consider sponsoring the right person for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), or a similar accountancy qualification. 

 

The successful candidate will: 

 

  • support with the maintenance of the purchase and sales ledgers for the Trust 
  • support the Senior Finance Assistant with the weekly supplier bacs run 
  • undertake scanning, photocopying and filing of financial documents 
  • deliver excellent customer service at every opportunity 
  • contribute to the effective working of both the Finance Team and Central Trust Team by participating in team meetings and suggesting improved ways of working 
  • be prepared to work flexibly during busy periods

The post is Band 3 for 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year on a permanent contract.
