Job/Person Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our team at Freegrounds Junior School. Your wellbeing
We know that teaching is wonderful but it’s also a challenging job. Teachers work extremely hard and we try and recognise this as much as possible by supporting your wellbeing and workload. As well as significantly adapting key policies and procedures in our school, which we know have an impact on workload and wellbeing (feedback and marking, assessment, report writing), you will also benefit from the following when you join our staff team:
- reduced membership at Wildern Leisure Centre,
- additional release time each week for subject leadership (this is an additional 1 hour each week),
- a dedicated and active staff wellbeing working party who have a positive impact across the school,
- opportunities to take PPA from home.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they:
• have the potential to become an excellent classroom practitioner with a clear understanding of effective teaching and learning,
• are committed to helping children make accelerated progress,
• are willing to engage in a personalised programme of continuing professional development,
• are able to work well as part of a team,
• are keen to take a full and active role in the life of the school,
• have a clear understanding of how children develop and progress through the primary years,
• are enthusiastic and keen to deliver exciting and engaging learning opportunities.
