Learning Support Assistant sought
5 mornings per week in Key Stage 2 – fixed term contract
We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in Key Stage 2 for the lasthalf of the summer term. The role will be classroom based for 5 mornings each week, supportingchildren in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Our school day starts at 8:30am and ends at3:00pm. This role is a fixed term contract position, to start on Monday 2nd June until Friday 18thJuly inclusive. There may be an opportunity to join on a full-time basis from September but thiswill be confirmed nearer the time and is dependent on the needs of the school.
The LSA will support Key Stage 2 class teachers with the delivery of the core curriculum (Englishand Maths) in the mornings. The LSA will support children in small groups and on a 1:1 basiswith one or more particular children, under the continued guidance of class teachers. This is ahighly rewarding job. Our pupils are polite, friendly and eager to learn.
The full-time equivalent salary for this position is £24,348 (B3 on the Hampshire pay system).
