We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and flexible learning support assistant (LSA) with good communication skills to join our dedicated and hardworking team. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with children, ensuring they are supported in their education within the classroom and through specific targeted interventions.
If you are a Learning Support Assistant looking to develop your knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity, the Thrive approach to learning and the Empowerment approach to behaviour management this role could be ideal for you.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with proven previous experience in Key Stage 1 or 2, particularly with SEN children. Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential (GCSE Grade 4/C+ in English and Maths or equivalent) as well as a commitment to working as part of a team.
Skills required include:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
- Positive, sunny outlook
- Work constructively as part of a team
- Working alongside children with SEN/behavioural difficulties is desirable but not essential
- Experience of working with neurodiverse students would be advantageous but not essential
