Job Introduction

Learning Support Assistant (Level 2) - with responsibility for 1-1 personal care of a student with complex needs

WMAT pay scale WA4-10 to WA4-16      £24,133 - £27,663 pro rata per annum    

Actual salary: £15,857 - £17,879 per annum  (Negotiable depending on experience applicable to specific role requirements)


Hours:     27.05 hours per week  

                Monday to Friday  8.45am to 3.05pm  

                Term-time only - 39 weeks per year  


 Fixed-term to 31st August 2026 in the first instance.  Required as soon as possible. We are looking to appoint a friendly, conscientious and enthusiastic person with a good sense of humour to join our hardworking and supportive team.

The main purpose of this role will be to provide practical and personal hygiene care support for an identified child with additional health needs. You will also be working with individuals, small groups and in class, supporting the learning needs of our students.  Previous experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage, although training will be provided for the role. You will need a good standard of general education and be prepared to be flexible and committed to working as part of a team.
