At Oakley Church of England Junior School, we are committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for all our children.  We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant team and inspire our children.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint two dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team and support children across the school day. This role includes working within the classroom environment, providing one-to-one support as well as working with small groups of pupils. The successful candidates will support a range of learning needs, including those with more complex Special Educational Needs (SEN).

These are term-time only positions, Monday to Friday. Hours are negotiable for the right candidates.

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous successful experience of working with children 
  • Be able to work as part of a team with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
  • Have a calm, positive and kind approach
  • Be adaptable to ever changing situations
  • Be able to work independently and with initiative
  • Be resilient, flexible, organised and resourceful
  • Be supportive of the ethos of the school
  • Have a clear understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • Be comfortable in supporting young children with personal care and hygiene 
  • Is committed to the inclusion of all children in a mainstream setting
