Learning Support Assistant - KS2

Job Introduction

The Federation of Liphook Infant School and Liphook Church of England Junior School are seeking to appoint a learning support assistant to join our happy and hardworking team. This KS2 role will be based at Liphook CofE Junior School and will be for 31.25 hours per week which includes a 25-minute lunch play duty every day. This role could be class based or 1:1 support.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is able to work closely with class teachers to develop pupils’ academic and social skills
  • is patient, flexible and motivated
  • is a team player
  • is able to work independently and has initiative
  • has excellent literacy and numeracy skills

This 1 year fixed term position will start September 2026, with the potential to extend for an additional year. Working hours are from 8:45am until 3:25pm, Monday to Friday. 

A Level 2 or 3 in ‘Teaching and Learning Support’ or similar is an advantage, alongside previous experience, although not essential.  The Learning Support salary will be on Scale B or C grade depending on experience. £24796-£26244 FTE (pay award pending). You will be required to work 40 weeks, 39 during term time with the additional work being made up as agreed with the SENCo (Special Needs Coordinator).  You will be paid for 45.62 weeks per year which includes holiday pay and your salary will be paid monthly.
