Job Introduction
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individual with the ability to help deliver an outstanding and inclusive education for our children. The post will involve working with children in our EYFS unit.
Lunchtime duties involve supervising children during lunch break and encouraging positive play. The children at Wellington have excellent behaviour, both in their conduct and attitudes to learning, and the school environment is modern, well-resourced and vibrant.
The successful candidate will;
- Possess a relevant NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent (We will consider candidates who are willing to work towards the qualification).
- An awareness of Special Educational Needs
- Have a good basic education (English and Math GCSE 3 or above is desirable or a willingness to work towards this) or equivalent qualification.
- Be able to use initiative and work under the direction of the class teacher.
- Be well organised as well as positive and proactive.
- Be a person with passion and commitment to help pupils make accelerated progress
- Have the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
- Have the compassion and patience to support pupils with a range of abilities
- Be able to develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

The successful candidate will be part of the school team and must relate well with both pupils and adults. They should be prepared to make a difference in the lives of our children. Our Learning Support assistants receive regular training and development.
