Full Time Learning Support Assistant and Outdoor Practitioner

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant and Outdoor Practitioner to join our warm and supportive school community, working with pupils including those with Special Educational Needs to inspire, encourage and make a real difference every day.
This full-time role includes morning Learning Support Assistant duties supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and afternoon sessions leading small-group outdoor activities.

Full Time Learning Support Assistant and Outdoor Practitioner
The successful candidate will support pupils with Special Educational Needs, including those with SEMH needs, working closely with class teachers and our Special Educational Needs Coordinator. You will support children 1:1, in small groups and in class, helping to accelerate learning, promote independence and ensure pupils feel safe, happy and able to thrive. The role will also include supporting play at break and a half hour of lunchtime cover each week.
During some afternoons, you will lead outdoor learning sessions with groups of pupils, helping them develop confidence, teamwork and resilience through nature-based activities.
We are looking for someone who can:
· Have high aspirations for all pupils, including those with additional needs
· Take a calm, nurturing and child-centred approach
· Show patience, initiative and flexibility
· Be an enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn
· Demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills
· Communicate effectively with both children and adults
· Model a professional approach to school life
· Positively manage pupil behaviour while following school policy and strategies
· Engage in positive play with pupils
· Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and maintain confidentiality
. Demonstrate experience and knowledge of working with children with SEMH needs
. Lead Outdoor learning for our pupils
