Job Introduction
Dogmersfield Primary School is a small school with a Church of England ethos and a family atmosphere. Our values of love, respect and courage, and our Vision statement ‘Start children off on the way they should go… so they live life in all its fullness’ are at the heart of all that we do.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, patient, caring and empathetic LSA to work 1:1 with a KS1 child with additional needs and also able to work with small groups of children. This role will include lunchtimes, with some flexibility around hours.
This role will involve contact with and responsibility for children, and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.
The person will be an experienced LSA who:
- Has worked with children with a range of additional needs
- Can adapt tasks for a child who is likely to find it a challenge to engage in activities alongside their peers
- Be able to work independently under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO
- Listens to, and acts upon, the advice provided by outside agencies
- Is willing to engage in ongoing professional development.
