Learning Support Assistant (with lunchtime duty) to work as 1:1 support in our Early Years Class

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work as a 1;1 support assistant in our exceptional Early Years Team. Our Early Years provision has been recognised by Hampshire and Ofsted as being outstanding- a place where children are inspired, curious and motivated to learn. We pride ourselves on developing creative, critical thinkers in a highly inclusive environment, where memorable experiences are woven through our curriculum.

 The successful candidate will need to: 

Essential: 

  • Have a good understanding of how young children learn best;
  • Have high expectations of pupils;
  • Have recent experience of working in Early Years, Nursery or Key Stage 1 setting;
  • Be able to endure a safe and healthy place of learning for the children;
  • Have an enthusiastic and organised approach to work;
  • Be fully committed to the ethos of the school;
  • Have strong behaviour management skills;
  • English and Maths GCSE Grade C/ 4 or above
  • Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills;

Desirable

  • Be qualified to or working towards Level 3 Education/ Childcare
  • Have experience of supporting children with additional needs
  • Hold a first aid qualification
