Job/Person Summary
Are you a positive energetic, resilient, patient adult looking to make a real difference to the education of our pupils?
Cranford Park CE Primary School is a delightful one-form-entry school in Yateley – a “small school with a big heart” (Ofsted 2025), set in a spacious attractive environment. We are an inclusive, nurturing school looking for the right person to join our friendly team as a Learning Support Assistant, supporting children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will be required to support children with additional SEND – physical, academic and/or social/emotional and you should be prepared to work throughout the primary age range. A trusting, positive relationship will be essential in ensuring the best progress so the successful candidate will need an enthusiastic and nurturing approach. You will have high expectations of learning for both self and others, and passionately believe that every child can achieve and reach their potential. At times this will include working 1:1 or with groups or classes of children under the guidance of the Class Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator. Full training will be provided for all aspects of this role.
We are particularly looking for someone who:
- Has some experience of working with children with additional needs, or in primary schools.
- Has problem-solving skills, resilience, is flexible, positive and willing to go ‘over and above’ as part of the team.
- Is inventive and creative, with the enthusiasm and initiative to create fun learning experiences.
We are highly committed to our staff and can offer you:
- A positive, friendly, and supportive team of colleagues within a happy and caring school.
- Children with ‘outstanding attitudes and behaviour’ (Ofsted 2025)
- Opportunities for Continued Professional Development.
- Freedom to use initiative and bring creativity to your role to enhance children’s learning
Application Procedure
