Sparsholt Church of England Primary School is a welcoming, vibrant and high-achieving village school at the heart of our community. Set in beautiful Hampshire surroundings, our school is a place where children, staff, governors and families work closely together to create something truly special.

Our vision is simple yet powerful: Dig Deep and Flourish with Courage, Compassion and Creativity. These core Christian values underpin everything we do—from the classroom to the playground—and shape the way we support every child to grow into confident, kind and resilient individuals.

Our children here are simply delightful, our parents are kind and supportive and our staff team are experienced, creative and proactive. Our school is a ‘truly inspiring place to learn and work’. (SIAMs April 2023). Rated ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted Nov 2023) in Personal Development and Behaviour & Attitudes, Ofsted commented that “the school's approach to character development is exceptional. High-quality opportunities deliberately broaden the horizons of pupils" and recognised that behaviour in our school "is exemplary".

Are you passionate about supporting children to flourish?
Do you believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially and emotionally?

If so, we would love to hear from you.

Why choose to Join Us at Sparsholt?

At Sparsholt, you will be joining:

  • A kind, caring and inclusive school community where relationships matter
  • A team of dedicated, skilled and supportive staff who work collaboratively
  • Children who are enthusiastic, motivated and a joy to work with
  • A school with excellent behaviour and a strong culture of respect and inclusion
  • A setting with extensive outdoor space, including a playing field, a playground, an all weather pitch for sport, a pond and outdoor learning forest area.
  • A commitment to professional development and growth for all staff

This is a school where all staff are valued, supported and encouraged to develop.

What makes this LSA role at Sparsholt special?

With just over 100 pupils, Sparsholt is proud to be a small school—and that is one of our greatest strengths. Here, every child is truly known, valued and supported. As a result, every member of staff plays a vital role in shaping the experiences and outcomes of our pupils. This is a school where what you do really matters—and where one person can make a lasting difference.

As a Learning Support Assistant at Sparsholt, you will have a positive impact in the following ways:

  • Build meaningful relationships with children across the school
  • Be part of a close-knit team where your voice, ideas and contribution matter
  • Help shape a nurturing environment where every child can flourish
  • Help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning
  • Be part of a school that values character development as much as academic success
  • Contribute to a culture where children are encouraged to “shine like stars in the universe” (Philippians 2:15).

As a Church of England school, our Christian values are at the heart of our community and a golden thread, weaved through our curriculum and every day interactions with our children. They help create a culture in our school where kindness, respect and belonging are lived and breathed. We welcome staff from all religious backgrounds (or none) and look for those who are committed to upholding and modelling our Christian values in their work with children.
