Learning Support Assistant

Job Introduction

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils in class, working closely with the class teacher
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
  • Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Support children with a range of learning needs, including SEND where appropriate
  • Encourage independence, confidence and a love of learning

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is patient, nurturing and has a genuine passion for working with children
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills
  • Is able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is flexible, reliable and proactive
  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (desirable, but not essential)

Additional Information

  • Hours: 8:45am – 3:20pm, Monday to Friday
  • Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Term time only position
  • Start date: September 2026
