Learning Support Assistant

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking to appoint a member of our Learning Support Assistant (LSA) team.

Are you a skilled LSA, with experience in supporting children with a range of needs to be successful in their mainstream classroom?

Are you passionate that ALL children can make progress both socially and academically?  Do you have a skill set to support children to catch up?

Redlands Primary is a successful, friendly school within a supportive community. We are a mid-sized primary school – 315 pupils, which is extremely popular in the area.

We have 11 classes at Redlands which includes 2 discrete Year R classes, with the rest of the school being in mixed year groups - 1 /2, 3 /4, 5/6.

Our vision is to inspire our children to become aspirational learners who strive to be the very best versions of themselves—not only academically, but also in their economic well-being, personal fulfilment and overall quality of life.

We aim to ignite a lifelong passion for learning, nurturing curiosity, critical thinking and resilience. Through this, our children are empowered to make positive contributions to our school community and, ultimately, to wider society.

At Redlands, we encourage all pupils to aspire to achieve their best academically, behaviourally and socially. We take pride in our work and act with integrity, guided by a strong moral purpose. Through determination and resilience, we support one another to meet the highest expectations and standards.

Our School Values:

At Redlands staff encourage and support pupils to aspire to achieve their best version of themselves, academically, behaviourally and socially.

Pupils and staff work with pride and a strong moral purpose, demonstrated in the integrity of their actions and behaviours.

All members of our community work with determination and resilience to achieve the highest expectations and standards of themselves and those they work with.

Our pupils talk animatedly about the wider curriculum and leadership opportunities they have, including our music provision, playing in the band, visits to forest school in year R and a very active school council.

We are an inclusive school, working hard to ensure children from ALL backgrounds achieve to their highest potential.
