At Alton Infant School, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn from the moment they walk through our doors. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team and play a key role in helping our Reception children flourish.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years education and understands the importance of building positive relationships, encouraging curiosity, and celebrating every child’s unique strength.   • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities that support every child’s development.
  • Encourage children’s independence, creativity, communication, and a love of learning.
  • Support children’s well-being and help them develop positive friendships and resilience.
  • Contribute to observations and assessments to celebrate children’s progress and next steps.
  • Help create an inspiring indoor and outdoor learning environment where children can thrive.
  • Work closely with colleagues and families to ensure environment where children can thrive.
  • Work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child receives the very best start to life.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a relevant level2 or level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Has experience of working with young children, ideally within an EYFS setting

Understands child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage

Is kind, patient, positive, and full of enthusiasm

Enjoys working collaboratively and values being part of a supportive team

Brings energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for nurturing young learners
