Job/Person Summary 

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join our team, in a brilliant school, where no two days are the same! This role is well-suited to experienced Learning Support Assistants looking for their next challenge and adventure. This is an exciting opportunity if you aspire for excellence and thrive to make learning irresistible by providing the very best support for all children. The role will be varied and will include some 1:1 support, small group support in class and further intervention work.  

This position is a fixed term contract until the 31st August 2024 with the possibility of an extension depending on the schools need.

Our school ethos and curriculum are centered around ‘Making Learning Irresistible’ and we are looking to recruit someone who is keen to work within a new and bespoke curriculum within our setting, is excited by the prospect of supporting purposeful and engaging learning opportunities and who is committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.

Prior to interview, an online search will be conducted to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role.  This is in line with guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education.  Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in a school environment. Issues that arise will not automatically be a bar to your employment at this school.

 We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has experience as a Learning Support Assistant; 
  • Has good literacy and math skills to support children across the school with GCSE’s (Grade A – C) or equivalent qualification;  
  • Has patience, understanding and good communication skills;  
  • Is cheerful, flexible and enjoys working as part of a team;  
  • Is self-motivated and can use their initiative to provide the very best support either 1 to 1 or in groups;  
  • Has a good sense of humour; 
  • Will make a positive contribution to our school community.
