 Learning Support Assistant required 

Salary range £16,173 - £17,171

30 hours per week - term time only

 

We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant 30 hours per week.  This vacancy is for a permanent position.

 

Our pupils are aged 2 – 19 years with learning, communication and complex health needs ranging from severe to profound and multiple. The successful applicant will be required to work across the breadth of our school.  

 

Ideally, you will have some experience of SEND in a learning environment but this is not essential if you show a strong desire to work with our young people. “School staff go above and beyond for the children.” Ofsted February 2023 

 

We welcome applications from people with or without experience, or suitably qualified professionals who are passionate about working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.   We also strongly recommend coming to visit Rachel Madocks to see and experience how we work as a school and our cohort of students.

Our 30 core hours of work are 8:45am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch break.  We are open to being flexible around this for the right candidate so please make it clear what hours might better suit your personal commitments when applying for this post.  We regret however, due to the amount of training involved, we will not consider requests of less than 3 days per week.  

 

As we are a school, you will be required to take all annual leave during school holidays. Integral to your own professional development and as part of your core working weeks you will be required to attend some after school meetings and essential twilight training.  

The salary range is Grade B or C depending on your qualifications and experience.
