Padnell Junior School is a vibrant 3FE Junior School located in Waterlooville, Hampshire. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by working closely across a year group to support children’s learning and development, particularly those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective support to pupils across a year group, including those with additional educational needs
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to support teaching and learning activities
  • Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive attitudes and a safe learning environment
  • Support pupils in class and during other school activities to enhance their educational experience
  • Communicate effectively with staff and pupils to promote inclusion and engagement

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working within a school setting
  • Proven ability to support children with additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of Padnell Junior School
