Learning Support Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our enthusiastic team. This role would be to work as part of a team in the classroom supporting the class teacher and working with either one or two children within the class. 

The hours for this fixed term, term time role are 8:30 - 15:15, on Wednesday and Thursday, until 31/08/2026.

The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, motivated and caring person who is able to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher and team. Experience of working in a similar setting or supporting children with additional needs is desirable.

The successful candidate will:

•    enjoy working with children  

•    help children to be independent and achieve their best

•    have high expectations for behaviour and learning

•    have a positive attitude and be committed to supporting children's learning 

•    have excellent communication skills 

•    have a positive and flexible attitude

•    be an excellent team player 

•    be organised, take initiative and be able to work independently 

•    have good Literacy and Mathematics skills (preferably to GCSE ‘C’ grade or equivalent)

 The pay level is B depending on experience.
