Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint to our team, a Learning Support Assistant with a warm and caring nature, who is passionate about making a difference to children's lives to join our committed and supportive team.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable and able to show high levels of initiative. Experience of working in a school/knowledge of the National Curriculum is desirable but, more importantly, we are seeking an individual who is keen and quick to learn and who is an excellent team player. You may be required to work in different year groups across the school.
We are a Character Education school, which underpins everything we do, and the children and staff use the language of virtues and growth mindset to support positive learning and behaviour management.
Elvetham Heath Primary School is a large school with approximately 640 children on roll. One of the advantages of working in a large school is that there are a lot of people willing to help and support new members of staff. They are a friendly bunch here!

- Be highly motivated and enthusiastic
- Have a firm, sensitive and effective approach to pupil discipline
- Be reflective and open to new ideas and initiatives
- Be well-organised and able to appreciate that there is a multi-role aspect to this post which will require excellent flexibility and adaptability
- Have the ability to work independently, showing initiative and managing their own time effectively
- Be able to monitor, evaluate and record pupil progress with guidance from senior leaders.
- Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
