Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to work with children of all ability groups, including those with special educational needs.
Shipton Bellinger Primary School is a school with delightful children who are keen to learn and take real joy in discovering new knowledge and skills.
Working under the direction of the class teacher, the successful candidate will provide support in small groups, 1:1 and as part of whole class teaching, removing barriers to learning. They will work with pupils both in the class and out of the classroom, running interventions and supporting children to make progress; using their initiative to adapt learning to suit the needs of individual children. The role will also involve supporting children at both break and lunchtimes. Depending on the successful candidate's experience, this may involve working within our Constellation Room providing specialist provision, under the direction of the SENDCo and class teachers and therefore the hours given in the contact will reflect this.
