Job Introduction
Castle Hill Infant School wishes to appoint Learning Support Assistants. This role will be for the equivalent of 27.5 hours per week. This Learning Support Assistant role will include classroom support, one-to-one and interventions. A lunchtime cover for 30 minutes will be included.
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, creative, and embrace new ideas
- Have excellent oral and written standard of English
- Energetic, adaptable and full of initiative
- Be able to use their initiative to support both child initiated and teacher led learning
- Be able to support with social skills, self-care skills, emotional support and show empathy and understanding
- Be able to form effective working relationships and be a team player
- Be flexible, patient and a good listener
- Willing to undertake training
- Encourage high standards and be a good role model
- Be empathetic to the importance of play in a child's learning and development
- Liaise with parents and outside agencies
