Lunchtime Assistant

Job Introduction

Shepherds Down School is a truly unique place to work. We are very proud of what our school provides for our children, but equally for the staff that work here. We are looking for a lunchtime assistant to join our team that shares our passion for enabling every child, irrespective of their need, to develop to their full potential.

Your duties will include supervising children in the dinner hall and on the playgrounds. After appropriate training you may also be asked to help to feed some of our more complex children who rely on soft diets or are fed via tubes. 

The school provides education for 4-11 year old’s with a range of learning, communication and physical needs in a caring and nurturing environment.  We have high-end facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, extensive outdoor areas and excellent IT provision. A range of therapy support is available in school for the children including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Art Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.

We can guarantee that no two days will be the same and our differentiated. rich and bespoke curricula means there is always a variety of experiences to be had by children and the staff.

Working hours will be 11.30am - 1.30pm Monday to Friday on a term time only contract.
