Lunchtime Play Leader – Kings Furlong Junior School
We are looking for a Lunchtime Play Leader to join our fantastic team, supporting and engaging with children during lunchtime.
The successful candidate will:
- Be proactive and promote positive play
- Communicate effectively, work well in a team, and bring a sense of humour
- Actively engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable and encourage healthy eating
- Work confidently both independently and collaboratively
- Have high expectations for children’s behaviour and consistently uphold school values
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to support all children
- Be aware of health and safety to maintain a safe environment
- Understand confidentiality and safeguarding procedures (training provided)
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising and leading games and activities to support children’s play development
- Engaging with the Opal play approach
- Supervising children to ensure their safety
- Supporting other lunchtime supervisors to deliver successful lunchtimes
- Building positive relationships with children and staff
- Administering basic first aid (training provided)
