Job/Person Summary
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Have experience of working with children
- Be a positive role model
- Ensure discretion and safeguarding are given due regard
- Be willing to undertake training, where appropriate (first aid - food hygiene)
The main duties will be:
Supervising the children in the lunchtime hall, outside on the playground or in their classrooms during wet lunch breaks
Promoting healthy eating
Encouraging positive play by supervising a range of playtime games
Ensuring all children are safe happy and well behaved during the lunchtime
Ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner and that where appropriate deciding which issues should be raised with relevant staff.
Assisting with associated duties, eg: cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables and chairs are clean, ensuring pupil hygiene.
