Job/Person Summary
Are you looking to make a difference to the positive play of children who are well-behaved and love their lunchtimes?
We are looking for a lunchtime supervisor to work with our existing team to support pupils in the enjoyment of their lunchtime. You will be supported through thorough induction from our Lead Lunchtime Supervisor and our friendly team!
The successful candidate will have an emerging understanding and will be supported to develop knowledge and skills to:
- Be proactive and promote ‘positive play’.
- Actively engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable.
- Have an understanding and awareness of effective behaviour management to engage children in play.
- Have high expectations of children's behaviour.
- Be able to work well with others, under guidance, and show own initiative.
- Be a good communicator, great team player and have a good sense of humour.
- Care for children, including first aid.
- Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
Duties will include:
- Assisting pupils with food consumption – i.e. opening cartons, cutting food for children.
- Promotion of ‘Positive Play’.
- Supervision of pupils to ensure their safety.
- First aid delivery.
