Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Job Introduction

Icknield is an Outstanding special school for pupils with severe learning difficulties aged 3-19 years. 

We are looking to recruit a conscientious, enthusiastic and energetic lunchtime supervisory assistant who is calm, caring and friendly to join our team. You will need to be a good timekeeper, confident when dealing with pupils with special needs, a good communicator and be able to work well in a team.  Previous experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

The post involves: 

  • Supervision of our pupils at lunchtime, in the hall, classrooms and outside areas
  • Encouraging positive play by leading a range of playground activities
  • Ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of all our pupils
  • Ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner 
  • Assisting with associated duties, e.g., cleaning up spillages, laying tables etc.

Hours are 11.30am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. We will provide ongoing training and staff development.
