Contract/Hours: Fixed term initially until August 2026 

Salary Type: Support Staff 

Salary Details: Grade A 

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 11:40 – 13:40 arrangement (term time only)

Job/Person Summary 

 
We strongly believe that lunchtimes at Leesland are a valuable learning opportunity for pupils and everyone in our Leesland community is a teacher and a learner.  

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our wonderful team of lunch time staff.

To help support our children in the lunch hall, with outdoor play skills in the playground and indoor play in the classrooms during wet play times.  

 

We are looking for someone who:  

  • Has an optimistic outlook, relentless positivity and a good sense of humour
  • A strong belief in inclusion for all children in school 
  • Has a passion for helping and supporting all children
  • Can help the children to promote good manners and eating habits
  • Enjoys being in the fresh air
  • Is good at playing games and fostering enjoyment for all children 
  • Is patient, kind, firm and fair

Attendance at regular meetings is an essential aspect of the role.  We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as all the necessary pre-employment checks are completed.  References will be collected on selection for interview and you will have the opportunity to look around the school during that time.  

This appointment is for the Federation of Leesland Infant and Junior Schools. You may be required to work across both schools.  

The successful candidate should be highly motivated and keen to make a real difference to the quality of lunchtimes for all children.
