Job Introduction
Roman Way Primary School is seeking to appoint a friendly and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our team to ensure that our children have a safe and enjoyable lunchtime. The contract is initially a six month temporary contract to cover maternity absence, with the possibility of the position being made permanent.

The post involves:-
- Following our safeguarding procedures with rigour
- Supervision of the children at lunchtime in the hall, classrooms and outside areas, encouraging good table manners and promoting healthy eating
- Actively promoting positive play including supporting the development of children’s social skills through their play both outdoors and inside
- Ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of all our children
- Ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner and that where appropriate deciding which issues should be raised with relevant staff
- Assisting with associated duties, e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean, etc.
- Administering minor first aid (training will be provided)
Previous experience and a first aid qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
Hours are 11:45 to 13:00, Monday to Friday, term time only. Temporary contract
Salary FTE £22,556, Actual Starting Salary £3267.
