Are you a positive, energetic, compassionate adult who can enhance the lunchtime play of our children?
We are looking for the right person to join our great team as a Midday Supervisor, supporting our children in their play and helping them all to have a safe and enjoyable lunchtime.
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic and enjoy working and playing with children
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Be consistent in promoting our good behaviour and the Christian ethos and values of our school
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times
- Show initiative and good communication skills.
An understanding of restorative approaches and previous experience in a primary school would be an advantage but is not essential.

The post involves:-
- Consistently following our safeguarding and behaviour management procedures to keep all children happy and safe.
- Supervision of the children at lunchtime in the hall, encouraging independence, good table manners, courtesy and promoting healthy eating.
- Supervision of the children at lunchtime in the classrooms and/or outside areas, actively promoting positive, co-operative play including supporting the development of children’s social skills and leading games.
- Ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of all our children
- Ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner, using restorative approaches and reporting/recording in line with school policy.
- Administering minor first aid (once trained).
