  • Contract/Hours: Temporary, Part-time 
  • Salary Type: Support Staff 
  • Salary Details: Grade A, £4,200-£4,233 approx (£24,225-24,415 FTE), pro-rata, 39 weeks, term time only
  • Hours of Work: Between 11.45am and 1.15pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only 

Job/Person Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint lunchtime supervisory assistants to join our happy team, as soon as possible, to cover the unexpected absence of two of our existing team. The chosen candidate(s) will be enthusiastic, reliable, calm and keen to support the school with our dining experience called ‘Better & More Respectful Lunchtimes’ and be keen to play with our children.

Duties will include:

 * Supervising our children in the school hall as they eat lunch 

* Assisting with associated duties such as cleaning up spillages and  

   helping children with hygiene

* Supervising and engaging in play with children on the playground 

* Administrating simple first aid (training will be provided, if needed) 

* Being aware of health and safety to ensure a safe environment for all

The successful applicant will need to be:

* Able to communicate effectively with children, helping them to problem    solve when needed

* Reliable, flexible, punctual and able to work as part of a team 

* Able to support our children whilst they eat their lunch and promote 

   healthy eating 

* Be consistent in promoting good behaviour and the values of the school 

* Able to ensure the safety and welfare of our children at all times

* Willing to attend occasional extra training when required
