We are recruiting a Midday Supervisory Assistant!
We are looking to appoint a reliable, calm and enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our committed and hardworking school team. We are a small Infant school with a big heart. Everyone at Hart Plain is passionate about aiming high for our children and school community. Our school has a friendly, warm and family feel and we’d love you to join us.
The successful candidate will:
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have experience of working with children
- Be a positive role model to our children
- Ensure confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities are met at all times
- Enjoying being outdoors in all kinds of weather
- Actively engage with the children, promoting positive play
Duties will include:
- Supervising pupils in the lunch hall, outside on the playground or in classrooms during wet lunch breaks
- Supporting pupils whilst eating, assisting with opening cartons and cutting food when necessary
- Promoting healthy eating
- Ensuring pupils are safe, happy and well behaved during lunchtime
- Supporting children’s social and emotional development through play
- Actively engaging with the children during playtime to develop good relationships

Hours – Part time, Monday – Friday 11:50-12:50pm, term time only - 39 weeks
Contract – Fixed Term until 31/08/2027
Rate – £2,807 yearly salary
Closing Date - 31st August 2026
Start Date – 1st September 2026
