South View Federation is seeking a passionate and talented LSA to join our hard-working, welcoming and skilled junior school MLD resourced provision team from 1st September 2026.

At South View Federation:

  • We are resilient
  • We enjoy
  • We aspire
  • We respect
  • We belong

Our five core values lie at the heart of our school community and underpin all that we do.

The South View Federation is an inclusive school and has four resourced provisions: two are based at the infant school and two at the junior school. At each school, there is one resourced provision for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and another resourced provision for children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). Children placed in our MLD Resourced Provision have moderate learning difficulties in all areas of the curriculum (a global delay usually of at least 2 years). All the children in our MLD resourced provisions will have a hybrid of needs, which may include physical disabilities; sensory impairments; language impairment; or autistic characteristics. Children in the MLD resourced provisions spend the vast majority of their time in the resourced provision class due to them finding mainstream classes overwhelming. The children access a broad and balanced curriculum at a level that matches their individual starting point.

This rewarding job is a fantastic opportunity to work with wonderful children and be part of a positive, forward-thinking team that places children’s well-being and progress at the centre of everything they do.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic LSA who:

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and contributes to a strong safeguarding culture across the school

  • Is positive, patient and adaptable in their approach to working with children
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills
  • Is genuinely interested in supporting children’s learning and well-being
  • Can build excellent relationships with children
  • Promotes independence and encourages resilience
  • Models excellent spoken and written English
  • Treats every child with dignity and respect
  • Has knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs
  • Can work collaboratively with other members of staff
  • Is ideally experienced in delivering support programmes, including OT, precision teaching and speech and language work
  • Has good time management and effective organisational skills
  • Maintains a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Promotes positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

As a school, we are proud to offer the right candidate the following:

  • A welcoming and supportive staff team
