Salary: Grade/Scale dependent on qualifications and experience
Contract: Fixed Term (1 year initially), Term Time Only
Working Pattern: 5 days per week (2 days Outdoor Learning Coordinator, 3 days HLTA)

Are you passionate about outdoor education and committed to helping children thrive? We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated professional to join our team as an Outdoor Learning Coordinator (2 days per week) and Higher Level Teaching Assistant (3 days per week).
This exciting hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead and develop our outdoor learning provision whilst also supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
About the Role
Outdoor Learning Coordinator (2 Days)
You will:
- Lead and develop the school's outdoor learning curriculum and provision.
- Plan, organise and deliver engaging outdoor learning experiences for pupils across the school.
- Support staff in embedding outdoor learning opportunities within the curriculum.
- Manage and maintain outdoor learning spaces and resources.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety requirements and risk assessments.
- Promote environmental awareness, sustainability and outdoor exploration.
- Coordinate special projects, visits and enrichment opportunities linked to outdoor education.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (3 Days)
You will:
- Work alongside teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning.
- Deliver planned learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.
- Cover classes during teacher planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time where required.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs to achieve their full potential including some 1to1 support.
- Contribute to assessment, record keeping and pupil progress discussions.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience of working with primary-aged children.
- Holds HLTA status or is able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Has a passion for outdoor learning, environmental education or Forest School approaches.
- Is confident leading groups of children in outdoor environments.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Brings enthusiasm, creativity and a positive attitude to school life.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Forest School qualification (Level 3 or above) or equivalent outdoor learning experience.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience of planning and leading outdoor education programmes.
- Knowledge of curriculum-linked outdoor learning opportunities.
- Experience covering lessons and supporting assessment for learning.
