Job Introduction
Wellstead Primary School is looking to recruit a creative, inspiring teacher for our forward-thinking, dynamic and inclusive primary school.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a keen interest in developing their own skills, as well as supporting other members of the team. This role is a part-time position, job sharing a KS2 class (probably Year 4) for 2 days a week with an experienced teacher. The 2.5 days includes a half day PPA for the team to meet as a whole. We are looking for someone who is able to work a Monday and Tuesday and with flexibility for the other 0.5 day. The role is offered on a fixed term basis until August 2026, but there is scope for this to be extended beyond that.
The salary offered is MPS and is dependent on experience.

The successful candidate will:
Have QTS
Be passionate about learning and have an avid interest in how children learn best
Be committed to building effective relationships with children, parents, colleagues and the wider team
Use on-going assessment and monitoring of pupils in order to support them effectively to move forward in their learning and make good progress
Have strong experience of planning high quality learning opportunities, using effective task design to support all children to reach their full potential including those with SEND
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
Plan to meet the strengths and areas for development of all children, working in partnership with parents, carers and external agencies to meet the needs of all children, understanding that children develop at different rates
Show a commitment to developing self and the practice of others
Fulfil all professional responsibilities in accordance with the Teachers’ Standards
