Job Introduction
We are very pleased to be advertising a part-time administrative assistant position to join our very experienced and committed staff team. This post affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work in the only special school federation in Hampshire. Our two schools, situated next door to each other, cater for the full age range and a wide breadth of needs, including moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties.

We offer a fun, stimulating and creative environment in which all individuals are valued for their contribution, and we strive for our pupils and students to be as independent as they can be.
We are seeking to appoint a friendly and enthusiastic individual with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, who will have a commitment to provide effective administrative support to meet the needs of our federation.
We are looking for a professional who:
- is able to follow systems and school policies consistently to ensure the safeguarding and safety of our pupils;
- is competent in the use of information technology, especially in Microsoft Word;
- is able to demonstrate effective communication with parents/carers, staff, pupils, visitors and governors;
- has excellent interpersonal skills;
- has a calm and consistent approach;
- can work under own initiative; and
- has a sympathetic understanding of our pupils’ needs.
Experience of working in a school office with knowledge of Arbor is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
