Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint an inspiring, innovative and aspirational leader who understands that the best leaders continually strive to improve, to join our friendly and hard-working team.  If you are looking to further develop your leadership skills or begin your leadership journey and feel you have the drive and passion to make a difference to the whole school community, then this could be the opportunity for you!

Do you share our school’s vision of an all-inclusive, child centred, ‘whatever it takes’ approach to education, where personal growth and academic growth are valued equally?

Are you looking for a ‘work family’ who will ensure that you feel part of a supportive, proactive and caring team?

Well, then Anstey Junior School could be the school for you and we would love to hear from you!

We have the exciting opportunity to select a phase leader with a TLR to work within the senior leadership team to lead, inspire and develop our hardworking and dedicated team.

As a phase leader, you will be responsible for supporting colleagues to develop within whole school improvement priorities in teaching and learning in your phase (lower or upper school), and share good practice across the entire Key Stage. You will be able to demonstrate an accurate assessment of pupil’s progress across the phase you lead, and will be able to be proactive in identifying and implementing next steps.

This position comes with full time class teacher responsibility with dedicated leadership time to carry out phase leader commitments, as well as working alongside the senior leadership team to continue to drive school improvement across the whole school.

We are 100% committed to offering a new member of staff:

  • The opportunity to work with professional, friendly and supportive staff who genuinely believe that every child deserves the very best education.
  • Wonderful children who are happy, work hard and thrive within our ‘whole child’ nurturing approach to education.
  • Fantastic grounds and dedicated outdoor learning opportunities planned in our curriculum.
  • Supportive and engaged parents and governors, who share and support the school’s vision.
  • Excellent continued professional development and career development both within and beyond the school.
  • A mentor and clear induction programmes for new staff to enable a smooth transfer into the school.
