We were most recently visited by OFSTED in May 2023 and are pleased to remain a ‘GOOD’ school and maintain our excitement around the great work we have already put in place as we continue to embed and refine the many strengths of the school.  We are proud of our school and the dedicated and caring staff team we have and are now looking to recruit a new Year Lead to join our family and lead a team of driven professionals from September 2025. We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a reflective practitioner with a consistent track record of good/outstanding teaching.
  • Has exceptionally high standards of achievement and behaviour.
  • Is passionate about making learning fun and memorable for our learners.
  • Is committed to working as part of a team and has the ability to lead a team of teachers and Teaching Assistants.
  • Has an excellent knowledge of teaching from the National Curriculum across Key Stage 2.
  • Has good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Has the ability to think strategically and to lead initiatives effectively, monitoring the impact of actions taken.
  • Holds their team to account, maintaining focus on the children’s progress and outcomes.
  • Has a good sense of humour!

In return, we can offer you:

  • A warm, friendly school full of enthusiastic children who have positive attitudes and who look forward to learning
  • A calm and purposeful school where ‘Pupils feel safe and know the school’s behaviour systems well.’ (Ofsted 2023)
  • A team of friendly, caring and hard-working staff.
  • A leadership team who prioritise staff wellbeing under the strategic wellbeing strategy.
  • A strong ethos that centres around nurturing and supporting children in their enjoyment of learning and their wider personal development.
  • An ongoing commitment to your professional development as a teacher and as a leader.
  • The opportunity to be part of the Leadership Team, working alongside the other Year Leaders to really make a difference to our school community.

Application forms can be found on our school website. We would love the opportunity to show you around our school so please get in touch via phone or email to arrange a visit: HR@netleyabbeyschools.co.uk
