Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint a SEN Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our SENDCo’s, ensuring the efficient management of systems, documentation and communication related to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. In-house support will be provided whilst the systems and responsibilities are learned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monitoring of SEN Support Plans for children on the SEN register, and assist in disseminating these to parents and caregivers
- Maintain accurate records of interventions taking place across the school
- Update and manage SEND data on SEND related databases to ensure records are up to date
- Manage and maintain SEND records for students, including creating, updating, and storing documentation
- Disseminate diagnostic reports and information to teaching teams
- Assist with the preparation of reports and data for internal use
- Assist in the preparation for EHCP annual reviews
- Assist in collating evidence for EHCP needs assessments
- Provide general administrative support to the SENDCo’s, including assisting with resources, paperwork, emails and planning.
- Assist in the management of the SEND budget, including tracking EHCP banding allocations and liaising with the business manager as needed
- Assist at key transition points in Year 3 and Year 6
- Provide a point of contact for parents wishing to book meetings with SENDCo’s

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people, including parents, teachers, and external agencies.
- High level of accuracy in maintaining records and preparing reports.
- Demonstrates discretion and maintains the confidentiality of sensitive student information.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases such as CPOMS and Arbor
- A compassionate approach when dealing with children and families with diverse needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within the SEND team and across the school.
- Ability to troubleshoot administrative issues effectively and seek solutions.
