Hollywater School is a school for pupils aged 4-19 with complex learning needs. We set high but realistic expectations for all and encourage everyone to discover the joy of learning so that they may thrive and achieve their full potential to be as independent as possible in their adult life. We recognise that the personal development of pupils spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, plays a significant part in their ability to achieve and learn and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experience of adult life.

Are you an educator who believes that building a secure, nurturing relationship is the foundation for academic success? We are looking for an experienced SEMH teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a small group of pupils, helping them build both confidence and self-esteem, enabling them to achieve milestones through a trauma-informed lens.

The Role

In this role, you aren’t just a teacher; you are a champion for your students. Working with a small class of 7–8 pupils, you will get to know every individual, tailoring your approach to meet their specific Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. You will be supported by a robust Pastoral team and a skilled class team to ensure every child thrives.

  • Creative Learning: Look beyond the classroom to identify offsite learning opportunities that spark engagement and enhance our curriculum.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: A heartfelt commitment to SEMH education, with a proven ability to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Expertise: A deep understanding of the SEND and the challenges students face.
  • Connection: The ability to form strong, nurturing relationships that directly boost pupils’ confidence and achievement.
