We are seeking to appoint a committed, skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our newly established specialist resourced provision (SEND/RP units) within our successful primary school in Southampton.
This is a 0.8 FTE permanent post and a unique opportunity to shape and develop high-quality provision for pupils with additional needs.
This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong interest or background in SEND, inclusive practice, and specialist provision, who is passionate about ensuring every child can thrive.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of, or a strong interest in, working within SEND and/or resource provision settings
- Demonstrates a secure understanding of adaptive teaching, scaffolding, and personalised learning approaches
- Has high expectations for pupils with a range of additional needs, including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, and autism.
- Is skilled in creating structured, nurturing and inclusive environments that support regulation and engagement
- Can work effectively with EHCPs, provision maps, and multi-agency professionals
- Is passionate about removing barriers to learning and enabling every child to succeed
- Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Values teamwork and is eager to contribute to a developing specialist provision
- Is reflective, open to coaching, and committed to ongoing professional development
