Salary Details: Grade C, FTE £25,186 – £26,244 (pay award-pending)
Hours of Work: 25 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week

Job/Person Summary

We are ideally seeking to employ an excellent, experienced practitioner for 25 hours per week on a fixed term basis from May 2026, initially until 31st August 2026, with the potential of a permanent ongoing contract.
We are looking for someone to support children whose needs reflect one or more of the main SEN categories:
- Cognition and learning
- Communication and interaction
- Social, emotional and mental health
- Sensory and physical disabilities
The successful candidate will:
- be able to nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils in order to secure high standards for all pupils to be 'lifelong learners, with open minds'
- have previous experience of working with children with complex SEND and/or social communication difficulties
- have good maths and English skills (GCSE grade C or above or equivalent)
- have a working knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to break down learning into small steps
- be able to provide modelling and scaffolding to support the child's engagement
- be able to implement clear boundaries and routines using positive behaviour management strategies
- have a calm and positive disposition
- work as part of a year team under the guidance of the year leader and class teacher to raise attainment and deliver tailored interventions
- be able to work independently and have good organisational skills
