About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SENDCo to lead and further develop SEND provision across our school. Through your facilitation and working alongside our staff team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every child is supported, celebrated and empowered to succeed.
Working closely with colleagues, our families and external agencies, you will champion high expectations and inclusive practice throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across the school
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure effective, targeted interventions
- Support and inspire staff through guidance and modelling inclusive practice
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Promote the wellbeing of our children and actively contribute to the wider life of the school
We Are Looking for Someone Who
- Is a qualified teacher with QTS and holds or is willing to complete a SENDCo qualification (eg NASENCo or NPQ for SENCos)
- Has experience of SEND within a primary setting
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
- Is proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused
- Is passionate about enabling every child to reach their full potential
- Is deeply committed to safeguarding and inclusion
